Almost all of my herp images are post processed to some degree. This means that I edit them in order to bring the image to its fullest potential. I use Photoshop CS2, but most of these techniques will easily transfer to other photo editing programs. My editing philosophy is to remain as true to the original scene as possible. Because I consider my herp photography more akin to scientific documentation than art I am extremely careful not to adjust color saturation or contrast to represent anything other than what the specimen actually displayed.
