Types of Flooring
Traffic Coatings
deck-coating.jpgTraffic Coatings are coatings that are designed to support pedestrian or vehicular traffic. Usually these systems are comprised of a polyurethane water proof membrane and a non skid polyurethane topcoat. These coatings are commonly used in parking garages, and residential deck applications.

Micro Toppings
micro-topping-floor-tile-pattern.jpgMicro-Toppings are extremely popular right now. These floors are installed by spreading a thin layer of modified concrete over an existing concrete or wood surface. The finished product can then be scored and stained to provide a decorative look. This is my favorite type of flooring to install because I get to be creative, and the customers are always extremely happy with the finished result.

Epoxy Thin Mil System

Usually this system is installed in two or three coats using a pigmented epoxy sometimes with a chemically resistant urethane (CRU) topcoat.

Epoxy Laminate System
thumb_epoxy-laminate-garage.jpgAlso known as single and double broadcast epoxy flooring or epoxy quartz flooring. This was the first type of fluid applied flooring I learned how to master. It is composed of several layers of epoxy with a decorative aggregate sandwiched in between. Some places this system is commonly used are kitchens, bathrooms, garages and pool decks.
