The Natural History and Husbandry of Rosy Boas

This book is taking up most of my research time at the moment. I am putting this together with Jerry Hartley who is authoring a few of the chapters. My intent is to self publish this book in full color with a production of about 1000 copies. We both expect that this book will be a top notch herpetological publication and undoubtedly the greatest resource on the Rosy Boa, Lichanura trivirgata.

Some of the data that I have gathered so far includes:

  • Over 1000 photographs of Boas and their habitat
  • Over 850 specimen records (more than currently exist in museums worldwide)
  • Unpublished locality data
  • Previously unknown locality records
  • Date of collection records for over 600 Rosy Boa observations
